The Prostate Cancer Institute has only become a reality due to the sponsorship support and contributions by the community as well as the help from NSW Government and the media.

With the Prostate Cancer Institute fully operational and providing a one stop shop, the attention over the past few years has been directed to the enhancement of the Haematology Oncology Day Centre, (HODC) creating much more usable space, a much larger area for chemotherapy patients, increasing the number of clinician rooms, more than doubling the number of chemotherapy chairs to 20, more specific bedrooms for patients and a much more private facility.

Following the contribution of $1 million dollars from Club Central Hurstville and Club Central Menai, and $1.5 million from the NSW Government, the final stage is underway.

The committee is now offering naming rights for a chemotherapy chair for the sum of $10,000.

The final stage is being undertaken though the new charity of the committee - Cancer Care Centre Building Fund.
